"Dave Winter Group" Biography

       Dave Winter has been a bandleader in the York, PA area for the past 40+ years.  Now a career musician, he previously taught music in the public schools.  The band performs regionally within 100 miles of the Harrisburg vicinity for dance clubs, conventions, weddings and other functions.  In addition, Dave performs as a solo keyboard artist/vocalist.  The key to the band’s success and longevity has been the ability to play a wide variety of styles from jazz and standards to disco and rock.  Although the band consists of only three pieces, the comments from listeners are that the band sounds like much more.  This requires a lineup of skilled versatile musicians.

     The current band consists of Scott Becker on guitar and bass.  Scott brings his experience of playing with several popular local bands and displays the ability to be a musical chameleon, adapting to any sound or style that may be required.  Scott is also an accomplished violinist and is now retired from a career teaching music in the public schools.  Joined in 2002.
